With this blog, I want to help women move about the planet freely, stylishly and with the best travel accoutrements, from paper underwear to cool backpacks.
In fact, I’ve always been passionate about traveling ever since I took off, upon high school graduation at 17, to La Paz, Mexico.
My travel writings and photography have appeared in Delta Airlines’ Sky in-flight, Air New Zealand’s Pacific Way, Healing Retreats & Spas, Voyager, The Romantic Dining & Travel Letter, Great Expeditions, Amici and Buon Giorno. Newspaper travel section credits include Newsday, San Francisco Examiner/Chronicle, Seattle Times, and the Orange County Register.
For Fodor’s Travel Publications, I have contributed to many editions of the Gold Guide guidebook series including San Diego, Las Vegas, California, and Southern California as well as Fodor’s spa/wellness guide, Healthy Escapes. Online, I’ve written for USAToday.com, NYTimes.com, Fodors.com, Terra.com, and Yahoo Travel.
Today, besides running TravelGearForWomen.com, I’m also the travel gear columnist for WildJunket Magazine.
My travels have taken me to Asia, Europe, North America, Central America, the Caribbean, South America, Australia and Oceania.
I’ve been fortunate to have lived in Italy and on the island of Oahu, Hi.
I grew up across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco, CA and today I live in Carlsbad, CA.
